Darold Lanier Milligan Obituary

Darold Lanier Milligan, 67 OCEANSIDE -- Darold Lanier Milligan passed away Saturday, April 3, 2010. He was born in San Jacinto, Calif., son of Lanier and Ruby Milligan. Darold was a carpenter by trade. Later in life, he became a trainer for Nonviolent Communication, traveling all over the world teaching workshops. Darold loved working with his hands, especially anything with wood. He loved to have deep and introspective conversations. He enjoyed exploring the desert and swimming the ocean. He was also an avid reader. Darold was inquisitive about life. He passionately questioned everything-- sometimes to the chagrin of those around him! He lived true to his values, and was compassionate, kind and caring. Darold is survived by his daughter, Karin Prather (Michael) Murphy; grandsons, Tyler, Shon, and Seth Northcutt; siblings, Ted Glick, Jan Kishpaugh, Rocco Gerardi, and Donna Gerardi. Darold is loved and will be remembered also by many nieces, nephews, and cousins, as well. There was a private family service on April 5, 2010.
